- 200 g paneer
- 1/2 green capsicum cut into cubes
- 1/2 red capsicum cut into cubes
- 1/2 yellow capsicum cut into cubes
- For marinating:
- 1/2 cup fresh curd
- to taste Salt
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
- 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- 2 green chillies finely chopped
- 2 tsp oil
- For gravy:
- 1/2 cup kaju paste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp green chilli paste
- 2 medium sized onions cut and pureed
- 1 tomato cut and pureed
- to taste Salt
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- 2-3 tbsp fresh cream
- For garnishing:
- As needed- Few leaves of coriander
Steps to make to make Paneer Tikka masala
- In a mixing bowl take all the ingredients for marinating and mix well.
- Now add the paneer pieces and all the three coloured capsicum cubes to the mixture and leave it aside for 20 minutes.
- Now in another pan take 2 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp ghee. Now add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon sticks to it. Heat it.
- When mustard seeds crackles add the green chilli paste and saute for a while. Now add the pureed onions and cook till it changes a colour.
- Now add the pureed tomatoes and cook till it leaves oil.
- Now add the cashew nut paste and little water and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, asafoetida, garam masala powder and kasuri methi to the pan.
- Cook the contents for some time.
- Meanwhile after the paneer and capsicum are marinated transfer them in a heated grill pan with little oil.
- Now to the gravy add fresh cream and mix well.
- Now add the grilled paneer and coloured capsicum to the gravy with little water. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve the ready paneer Tikka masala with triangle paratha.
